My Luge
This is a diagram of my luge with some measurements, but your luge will be a different size if you are taller or shorter than me.
The front and rear chassis are made from pieces of 3"x2" fence posts that I found in my drive.
The seat pan is made from 4 pieces of 3/4" thick bed slats that my dad was going to scrap.
The trucks are stolen from my brothers skateboard and the wheels and bearings are from my brothers roller blades.
The red section on the seat pan is a piece of camping mat, for a bit of padding. I also have lots of padding near where my head and crotch go, for very obvious reasons.
Currently my luge is a piece of crap but I am hoping to build an aluminium one soon, which will hopefully look like this.
