Where to Luge

Obviously you will need to find a reasonably large hill, that is reasonably steep.

You must though also look for some extra features of your hills.

A perfect hill will be very long with gentle curves and grassy banks either side. You also want a very low amount of traffic, so try to choose a quiet country lane.

Unfortunately the hills I use are main roads with solid walls down the side, high amounts of traffic and lots of tight corners.

A good thing to do is look for hills when your driving round because you can spot lots of good hills very easily this way.

If you want to be a jackass, you can attempt to luge down the middle of a road, but try to stay near the side because for some reason drivers don’t notice a lunatic on a lugeboard while they are driving along and I have nearly been hit a few times even though I was wearing black clothes while luging at night, but the cars have lights so it must be their fault.
